SPIC Guangdong Company

SPIC attaches great importance to the development in Guangdong Province. At present, the registered enterprises of SPIC in Guangdong include 3 tier-2 subsidiary firms under the Group, including SPIC Guangdong, SPIC Oversea and Zhanjiang Nuclear Power Company.  The business scope of SPIC in Guangdong covers thermal power generation, nuclear power, new energy, smart energy and oversea business development. In addition, China Power International, Jilin Power, Wuling power and other units of the group are developing clean energy business in Guangdong.
 
SPIC has 26 legal entities in Guangdong, 1000 employees and about RMB420 millions of annual tax payment. The operating capacity of the units in the region is about 3200MW, including:
  7.8MW of Hengqin plant, 
  8.2MW of Sihui Plant , 
  13MW of Dongguan plant, 
  2MW of Xuwen wind power, 
  1MW of Renhua photovoltaic project. 
In addition, there are 61MW wind power and gas power projects investment plan has been approved by the Group.
 
SPIC Guangdong: 
  In 2005, China Power Investment Group established the south company. 
  In 2016, the south company was reorganized into Guangdong and Guangxi company. 
  In 2018, the assets of Guangdong company were injected into China Power International Company.
  In 2019, SPIC Guangdong started to take in charge of the asset and operation management of all SPIC plants in Guangdong. 
 
At present, SPIC Guangdong has formed industrial layout in East Guangdong (Jieyang and Shantou), Pearl   River Delta (Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Zhaoqing and Jiangmen) and West Guangdong (Zhanjiang).
 
By March 2020, the registered capital of SPIC Guangdong is RMB3.62 billion, the total assets is RMB21.5 billion, the employees are about 1000, the installed power capacity is 3130MW, and the heating capacity is 1114ton/hour.

 

 
It is proposed to import natural gas as supplementary gas source for gas power generation plants under Guangdong Company.
 
SPIC Guangdong Company currently has 4 natural gas power generation plants: Hengqin plant, Sihui plant, Dongguan 2nd plant,  China Power Jiufeng plant. The total installed capacity is 2.9 million KW, with a total annual power generation capacity of 10 billion KWH and annual gas consumption of 2.1 billion m3 (1.45 million ton LNG)
 
SPIC Guangdong Company has 2 gas power plants under construction: Jiedong Energy ( SOP- Dec 2021), and Kaiping Energy (SOP- Dec 2022) with 0.4 million KW capacity, which need additional 0.5 billion m3 annual gas supply (0.35 million ton LNG).
