By the end of April 2021, SPIC Guangdong and Brilliant Unison international trading limited (BU) signed cooperation agreement to operate LNG international and domestic trading business. Both sides will develop partnership for long-term cooperation, jointly provide stable long-term LNG supply solution to SPIC gas power plants in China and other end users.  The joint efforts will build an energy bridge between oversea LNG provider and local end users in China, which will contribute to low carbon society ,carbon emission reduction and environmental protection for China.

By leveraging advantages of each party, SPIC and BU will connect with oversea natural gas providers directly by way of consortium in the early stage, and sign a long-term gas supply contract (10 years) with overseas upstream oil and gas companies.

In addition, the Consortium will cooperates with PipeChina Corporation to link upstream and downstream gas transportation by using Shenzhen Diefu and Yuedong LNG terminals, which will help to reduce the gas cost and ensure the stable natural gas supply for SPIC Guangdong plants.
